Its purpose is to aid in clarifying what the commentary of the hexagram has to say about your question. Just be sure to read the Line of Change when you are directed to do so. Each line in the hexagram is a potential Line of Change, but only one line may be the line of Change at any particular time. I The lines are numbered beginningforam the bottom of the hexagram and proceed to the top, Like this: The line of change is called that because 6 it is changing from Yin to Yang, or 5 vice versa.
